This, Not That! TikTok Edition

TikTok has become a global sensation, and the idea of anyone can go viral at any moment keeps the world on edge.

Over one billion people are on TikTok, so not everyone can "go viral." But keep reading for some tips to help you climb to the top of the "For You Page!"

Rather than expensive hauls, try affordable DIY clothing videos

Right now posting short videos with long text is a great way to engage an audience. Most people will read the text, which will take more time than the video, therefore by the time the text is read the video is technically watched three times. Resulting in three views rather than one.

Instead flaunting expensive home decor, show dupe product ideas

When TikTok became huge, it was during our first COVID lockdown. This was a time people were sharing their DIY home decor, hacks, and more. Fast forward to present day day, there's no hiding we are in a recession. The creators that are constantly posting their expensive home decor and try on hauls are being dragged in the comments. In order to reach an audience that anyone can relate to, DIY videos are taking off way more than throwing expensive lifestyles in the face of a percentage of people that can't relate.

Try trending hashtags, rather than random or no hashtags

When it comes to trending videos, they are more easily found with trending hashtags. Trending hashtags are all put together, in their own search column on the discover page.  This is a way people find themselves landing in the hands of consumers and viewers that they wouldn't reach without a hashtag, especially a trending hashtag. Using these, can help put your video in front of consumers that don't already follow your brand.

Most people imagine a digital marketing agency as a place where social posts get created, ads get launched, and reports get sent out at the end of the month. The reality is far less simple—and a lot more strategic. Behind the scenes, agencies are constantly analyzing data, adjusting campaigns, and making decisions in real time to improve performance and drive measurable growth.
