Bringing the Heat for a Brick-and-Mortar Grill Store

We didn't just *meat* expectations, we grilled 'em! 🥩🔥

One year ago, Denver Crowd launched a website with Denver-based brick-and-mortar store Proud Souls Barbecue & Provisions.

Proud Souls' goal was to get an eCommerce website up and running so they could reach a new online audience and create a digital revenue channel.

When we started, Proud Souls' Founder & CBO (Chief BBQ Officer) told us he'd be happy if the new website sold 1 grill a week.

Let's just say we brought the heat 🔥 ...and then some.

Here are some key website features:
•Promotes sales of Traeger, Inc., Green Mountain Grills, Gateway Drum Smokers, Memphis Wood Fire Grills and more to buyers in Denver and beyond

•Generates leads for Proud Souls' Outdoor Kitchens customization service

•Integrates with their existing class scheduling software (via Acuity Scheduling)

•Shipping rules by grill based on shipping cost or drop-ship status

•Integrates with Google Shopping Ads and AdWords for improved product placement

•SEO-optimized site-wide, by page and product

•Built on Duda with eCommerce via Ecwid by Lightspeed

Since launch, Proud Souls has achieved the following results from their online store:
•$120,000+ in digital revenue
•400+ Store Orders
•65+ Grills sold
•$20,000+ in Gift Card sales
•1,300+ website form submissions
•1,400+ clicks to call

If your website looks good but isn’t bringing in leads, you are not alone. This is one of the most common frustrations we hear from business owners. The site isn’t “bad.” It loads, it functions, and it might even get traffic. But it still feels like it’s underperforming. The truth is, your website probably isn’t broken. It just isn’t working hard enough. A strong website does more than exist online. It guides visitors, tells a clear story, builds trust, and motivates action. When one of those pieces is missing, results stall.

If your website feels outdated, you are probably not imagining it. Design standards, user expectations, and search engine requirements evolve quickly, and what worked even a few years ago may now be holding your business back. Your website is often the first impression customers have of your brand. When it feels slow, cluttered, or difficult to use, visitors notice and often leave before taking action. Below are some of the most common reasons websites start to feel outdated, and what modern websites do differently.

The holiday season is one of the busiest (and most competitive) times of the year for online businesses. With customers shopping earlier and expecting seamless digital experiences, brands need to find creative ways to stand out. One of the most effective (and easiest!) ways to do that is through website personalization . At Crowd Digital Marketing, we build websites on Duda , a platform that gives us powerful personalization tools to tailor the browsing experience based on timing, behaviors, locations, and more. This season, we worked with one of our clients, Sports Obsession , to bring holiday excitement to their online store using Duda personalizations. Below, we’ll walk you through what personalizations are, how Sports Obsession uses them, and how your business can use the same strategies to elevate your website this holiday season.
