What Social Media Networks Should I Post On—and How Often?

Alex Schupp • June 4, 2025

Let’s be real: social media can feel overwhelming when you’re trying to run a business or grow a cause. You know you should be posting, but where? How often? And what the heck should you say?

At Crowd Digital Marketing, we help brands, nonprofits, and campaigns use social media in a way that feels authentic, manageable, and—most importantly—effective. So here’s our take on what platforms to focus on, how often to post, and what kinds of results you can expect.

First, What Are You Trying to Accomplish?

Social media isn’t one-size-fits-all. Before choosing platforms or setting a posting schedule, think about your goals. Some common ones we see:

  • Increase brand awareness
  • Drive web traffic or clicks
  • Sell products or services
  • Promote events or fundraisers
  • Grow community or engagement
  • Build credibility and trust
  • Humanize your business

Knowing what you want to get out of social helps guide what content you share—and where.

What Platforms Should I Post On?

Here’s a quick breakdown of the major players:

  • Instagram – Great for visual content, behind-the-scenes, storytelling, Reels, and brand-building
  • Facebook – Ideal for community connection, events, and reaching a broader (often older) audience
  • LinkedIn – B2B content, professional wins, team updates, and thought leadership
  • TikTok – Great for authentic video, trends, and younger audiences
  • X (formerly Twitter) – Useful for real-time updates, announcements, and engagement (still good for campaigns and causes)

Pro tip: You don’t have to be everywhere. Pick 1–3 platforms that match your audience and bandwidth, and stay consistent.

How Often Should I Post?

There’s no magic number—but here are some example cadences based on real-world clients and goals:

🏡 Real Estate (like Florence Realty Co.)

  • Platforms: Instagram + Facebook
  • Frequency: 3x per week
  • Why it works: Regular posting keeps them top-of-mind in a fast-moving market. We highlight listings, Denver neighborhoods, and lifestyle content.

🧘‍♀️ Small Local Business (e.g., yoga studio or café)

  • Platforms: Instagram + TikTok
  • Frequency: 3–5x per week
  • Content ideas: Daily specials, staff spotlights, customer shoutouts, class schedules, or local events

🌱 Nonprofit or Cause

  • Platforms: Facebook + Instagram + LinkedIn
  • Frequency: 2–4x per week
  • Content ideas: Mission spotlights, donor thank-yous, grant announcements, volunteer stories, event promos

📌 The key? Sustainability. What can you actually keep up with based on your team’s size and resources?

If you need help, that’s where we come in. We offer social media management (including scheduling tools!) so you can stay consistent without the stress.

  • Lean into seasonal relevance—like summer tips, holidays, or trending topics in your community
  • Repurpose content across platforms in different formats

Social That Feeds Your Website

One of our favorite features? We embed social media feeds directly into the websites we build on the Duda platform.

That way, site visitors can see your latest updates, photos, and real-life moments right from the homepage. It’s a great way to build trust, show off your personality, and keep your site feeling fresh—without constant updates.

Stay Consistent, Stay Seen

Social media doesn’t have to be a full-time job—it just has to be intentional. Start with clear goals, pick the platforms your audience actually uses, post at a pace you can maintain, and share content that feels human and helpful.

If you want a partner to take it off your plate (or just need a little guidance), we’ve got your back. Let’s grow your Crowd.

When businesses think about redesigning their website, the first word that usually comes to mind is “refresh.” New colors. Updated fonts. Modern layout. But a high-performing website redesign is not about aesthetics. It is about performance. A strong website should generate leads, drive sales, improve search visibility, simplify content management, and clearly communicate your brand. If it only looks better but does not function better, it is not a redesign. It is decoration.

You’re getting traffic. People are clicking your ads. They’re finding you on Google. They’re even browsing your pages. But the leads? The calls? The form submissions? Crickets. If your website isn’t converting, the problem usually isn’t traffic. It’s what happens after someone lands on your site. Here’s where to start.

If your website looks good but isn’t bringing in leads, you are not alone. This is one of the most common frustrations we hear from business owners. The site isn’t “bad.” It loads, it functions, and it might even get traffic. But it still feels like it’s underperforming. The truth is, your website probably isn’t broken. It just isn’t working hard enough. A strong website does more than exist online. It guides visitors, tells a clear story, builds trust, and motivates action. When one of those pieces is missing, results stall.

If your website feels outdated, you are probably not imagining it. Design standards, user expectations, and search engine requirements evolve quickly, and what worked even a few years ago may now be holding your business back. Your website is often the first impression customers have of your brand. When it feels slow, cluttered, or difficult to use, visitors notice and often leave before taking action. Below are some of the most common reasons websites start to feel outdated, and what modern websites do differently.
