How Going Digital Took the Breckenridge Dining Passport to the Next Level

Alex Schupp • May 22, 2025

We love when a project makes a real difference — and that’s exactly what happened with the Breckenridge Dining Passport.

In Spring 2025, we partnered with the Breckenridge Restaurant Association to bring their long-standing Dining Passport into the digital age. By building a custom website for online signups and information, we made it easier than ever for locals and visitors to support a great cause — and the results speak for themselves.

Over $14,000 Raised (and Nearly 1,000 Passports Sold!)

In just one season, the Breckenridge Dining Passport raised over $14,000 to fund scholarships for Summit County students. Nearly 1,000 passports were sold, a massive increase over past efforts. This digital-first campaign far surpassed previous (non-digital) versions — both in reach and in impact.

We’re proud to have played a role in helping the Restaurant Association increase accessibility, streamline sales, and ultimately boost scholarship funding. Going digital doesn’t just mean better UX — it can mean a bigger difference in the community.

What’s the Breckenridge Dining Passport?

If you’re not familiar, the Dining Passport is a locals-loved spring tradition. For just $15, supporters get access to exclusive deals at 30+ restaurants around Breckenridge.

Think:
🍕 Two-for-ones
🍳 Breakfast specials
🍸 Happy hour deals
🍽 Prix fixe menus
🍝 Free items with purchase
💰 And more — from casual to fine dining.

Each participating restaurant sets its own unique offer and schedule, and diners can view the lineup of participating spots before purchasing (like watching a movie trailer). Once signed up, they get full access to all the deals (the feature presentation!).

In a push toward sustainability, the Passport is now digital-only — no more printing or plastic. It’s a more eco-conscious way to enjoy Breck’s vibrant food scene while supporting the future of local students.

Search engine optimization is often misunderstood. Many businesses assume that adding a few keywords to their homepage or publishing an occasional blog post is enough to improve rankings. When traffic does not increase, they conclude that SEO simply does not work for their industry. In reality, most SEO challenges stem from structural issues, inconsistent strategy, or incomplete implementation rather than a lack of opportunity. If your SEO efforts are not producing results, the solution is rarely more content alone. It starts with addressing the foundation.

When businesses think about redesigning their website, the first word that usually comes to mind is “refresh.” New colors. Updated fonts. Modern layout. But a high-performing website redesign is not about aesthetics. It is about performance. A strong website should generate leads, drive sales, improve search visibility, simplify content management, and clearly communicate your brand. If it only looks better but does not function better, it is not a redesign. It is decoration.

You’re getting traffic. People are clicking your ads. They’re finding you on Google. They’re even browsing your pages. But the leads? The calls? The form submissions? Crickets. If your website isn’t converting, the problem usually isn’t traffic. It’s what happens after someone lands on your site. Here’s where to start.

If your website looks good but isn’t bringing in leads, you are not alone. This is one of the most common frustrations we hear from business owners. The site isn’t “bad.” It loads, it functions, and it might even get traffic. But it still feels like it’s underperforming. The truth is, your website probably isn’t broken. It just isn’t working hard enough. A strong website does more than exist online. It guides visitors, tells a clear story, builds trust, and motivates action. When one of those pieces is missing, results stall.

If your website feels outdated, you are probably not imagining it. Design standards, user expectations, and search engine requirements evolve quickly, and what worked even a few years ago may now be holding your business back. Your website is often the first impression customers have of your brand. When it feels slow, cluttered, or difficult to use, visitors notice and often leave before taking action. Below are some of the most common reasons websites start to feel outdated, and what modern websites do differently.
