A Week In Denver

Hannah Specht • April 28, 2022

This upcoming May 9th to 14th, 2022 there is more to do than there are dogs in this city.

Being in any city can be overwhelming – especially when there’s so much to do like in Denver! No need to fear; I have the perfect itinerary for living your best life in Denver.

Starting off mellow on a Monday, with a great deal at the Mayan Movie theater. This theater is located on South Broadway. Close to some amazing thrift stores, coffee shops and restaurants. Although you have all of this right down the street, the theater has a lot to offer as well. On Mondays, this theater has movies for only seven dollars. Inside the beautiful theater there is also a bar– Modern movie theaters are the best! This bar has  happy hour from 3:30- 6. What beats some discounted booze before a discounted movie on a Monday? Maybe our Saturday plans, so stay tuned.

Tuesday is another dive into a discount. The TopGolf in Centennial, Colorado has half priced Bay prices on Tuesday. It’s an easy Tuesday night to blow off some steam either hitting the ball as far as you can, or a series of placement games against your friends. TopGolf has a full kitchen and bar, with attentive service right to your golfing bay. Great vibes to spend with either friends or the family!

Off of highway I-25 there are two great companies, Raices Brewing and Meow Wolf Museum. Raices is a local brewery that is Latino owned and operated. There is always an amazing group of people gathering here, and you can almost always find someone dancing. In May their outdoor seating will be opened that is easy to see the gorgeous Colorado sunset from. Wednesday, May 11th, the food truck outside will be Venezuelan cuisine.

After you get a locally brewed beer, some amazing Venezuelan food, and take in the vibes of this positive community. You can walk at most, five minutes, directly to Meow Wolf. Meow Wolf, an immersive art experience that is easy to get lost in. There’s hundreds of different art installations all by local artists, any person or age can enjoy and admire this museum.

This leads the week into Thursday, and what’s a night out without a little competition? Downtown Denver is where Urban Putt lives, and thrives. Their happy hour is from 4PM-6PM and includes small bites and drinks. You can never go wrong with a happy hour crispy cheese curd and a draft beer. After your bellies are full, and competitiveness is on edge, walk your way over to the miniature golf course. This eccentric course can be fun with friends, a date or family.

TGIF, am I right? Although this Friday will be Friday the 13th, nothing spooky will be going on. Only a wholesome night of dumplings and baseball. On the corner of 16th street and Blake lives the best soup dumplings in all of Denver. Yumcha, a casual dumpling and noodle bar, has happy hour from 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM. This includes half priced dumplings, discounted drinks and good vibes always. The best part about this spot is the ability to walk directly to the stadium after. May 13th, at 6:40 the Rockies are playing the Royals. A quick walk and you can be rooting on our Colorado Rockies with all your friends!

This week is filled with fun, but we have to also give back to our community. Hunger Free 303 is a Colorado based company that's mission is to provide food sources to families and individuals in need, that way no Coloradan goes hungry. The CEO of this company received the award of Most Ethical Business Owner of 2019. This Saturday May 14th they will be putting on a fundraising concert in Washington Park from 2PM- 11PM. It is free to get in, but donations are encouraged. There will be two stages, 15 different artists and tons of fun to be had! This kid friendly event has everything from tasty food, cold drinks, shopping, and a silent auction.

To finish off the week, who doesn’t love a good ole community building event. May 15th, Denver Bazaar will be holding a sip and shop in RiNo. The event will take place at Zeppelin Station from 10AM- 5PM, and there will be paid parking available. There will be over 80 different local vendors. Anything from Plants, vintage, bath and body, food trucks, fashion trucks, and even more! This event is free to attend, but there are added bonuses because what is a Sunday morning without Mimosas. $20 at this event will get you two hours of bottomless mimosas, a Bazaar tote bag and a commemorative cup.

I told you, there’s so much to do in Denver, especially as the weather continues to get nicer. All of these places are great businesses and events and deserve to get recognition. We’re finally back to semi-normal living and what better way to do that than support local businesses, and enjoy ourselves with good company!

Search engine optimization is often misunderstood. Many businesses assume that adding a few keywords to their homepage or publishing an occasional blog post is enough to improve rankings. When traffic does not increase, they conclude that SEO simply does not work for their industry. In reality, most SEO challenges stem from structural issues, inconsistent strategy, or incomplete implementation rather than a lack of opportunity. If your SEO efforts are not producing results, the solution is rarely more content alone. It starts with addressing the foundation.

When businesses think about redesigning their website, the first word that usually comes to mind is “refresh.” New colors. Updated fonts. Modern layout. But a high-performing website redesign is not about aesthetics. It is about performance. A strong website should generate leads, drive sales, improve search visibility, simplify content management, and clearly communicate your brand. If it only looks better but does not function better, it is not a redesign. It is decoration.

You’re getting traffic. People are clicking your ads. They’re finding you on Google. They’re even browsing your pages. But the leads? The calls? The form submissions? Crickets. If your website isn’t converting, the problem usually isn’t traffic. It’s what happens after someone lands on your site. Here’s where to start.

If your website looks good but isn’t bringing in leads, you are not alone. This is one of the most common frustrations we hear from business owners. The site isn’t “bad.” It loads, it functions, and it might even get traffic. But it still feels like it’s underperforming. The truth is, your website probably isn’t broken. It just isn’t working hard enough. A strong website does more than exist online. It guides visitors, tells a clear story, builds trust, and motivates action. When one of those pieces is missing, results stall.

If your website feels outdated, you are probably not imagining it. Design standards, user expectations, and search engine requirements evolve quickly, and what worked even a few years ago may now be holding your business back. Your website is often the first impression customers have of your brand. When it feels slow, cluttered, or difficult to use, visitors notice and often leave before taking action. Below are some of the most common reasons websites start to feel outdated, and what modern websites do differently.
